Rate quoted is weekly rate with a two week minimum. Efficient and friendly reception. Our campsite was only 30 amp and had no cable TV, but that is what we requested and the spot reserved for us was excellent. Lots of privacy with hedges all around, although I had to position my portable satellite dish on top the motorhome. Most sites were only big enough for a RV, so tow vehicles and toads had to park in a nearby lot. Handy to public transit and day passes could be bought at the office.

Rate is monthly rate divided by 30. We have been visiting this park for several years and no big changes. Sites are gravel with a concrete pad. Oleander bushes and a few trees are used as privacy hedges. The water taps have their own pressure regulators which read just over 60 pounds pressure on my gauge. Wi-Fi is still through a satellite internet service provider, so limited to email, website access and no downloading or Skype phone use allowed. Clubhouse used by card players several times a week. There is a library where one can exchange paperback books. Pool tables and some exercise equipment are available. Outside there is shuffleboard and horseshoes. A desert garden with trails is on park property. Two pet donkeys next to the garden are always looking for handouts. Ask at the office what they can eat. There is one improvement. No early morning garbage pickup anymore!

Good Sam discount rate is quoted. Our site was a concrete pull through. Site 108 has a large cable TV box away from the utilities and one has to reach into the box and figure out which cable to use. Wi-Fi signal was excellent as it was just across the street. Office staff asked the right questions, and we got the site we wanted. Park is well away from the freeway and traffic is rarely heard.

From November through to March this park has limited winter facilities meaning the water at the sites is shut off and one must fill up their freshwater tank at the dump station. One of washroom/shower facilities was closed as well. Even so Washington state charges almost full fare for the privilege of using this campground during the winter. Self registration was in effect and make sure you have the right change as one still cannot charge to a credit card at the site like in Oregon state parks. I wish Washington state parks would upgrade their sewer outlets to allow a more secure fit. Still, for the night it was adequate.

Rate quoted is Good Sam discount. Park has many seasonals. Sites are paved pull throughs with a concrete pad. Sewer outlet is in a raised utility island which made it awkward to place sewer hose. Wi-Fi requires a user name and password. Park has a laundry which requires a key from the office. Some joker arrived late at night and parked next to us. He parked his truck on my pad. This clown was banging away on some iron piece at 5am and idled his truck for 20 minutes while trying to hook up his fifth wheel. Hope I never cross his path again. Overall, this park served its purpose which was just an overnight stay.

Good Sam discount rate is quoted. This park has gone downhill since our last visit. Our power was not working due to a tripped circuit breaker in the office. Garbage was piling up around all the garbage cans. The Wi-Fi kept cutting out even with four antenna locations around the park. Our pull through site had rocks all over the pavement. Hope this situation changes or I won't be back.

Rate quoted Passport America. Campground host escorts you to site. Sites have hookups at the back which required an extension cord for electrical. Our concrete pad had a palm tree in front of it which required more attention backing into campsite. WIFI is Tengo a fee for service ISP. Cable TV service has only about 20 channels. The trains could be heard throughout the day and night. Did not hear any freeway traffic.

Without a doubt this is one of the best California state parks. Our water and electric back-in site had enough room for a long fifth wheel and a tow vehicle beside it, although many other sites were much smaller. There were four dump stations, so no waiting for us. The premium sites were basic with no utilities, but what a view. There are great sunsets from the back end of these sites. The beach extends all the way down to Sea Cliff State Park where one can view the wreck of the cement ship Palo Alto.

Had a full hookup site in the Santa Rosa loop. Great sunset right from our spot (site 108) even though we were not right on the beach. Had to move to another site as original site was reserved for the weekend. Wish California state parks could give the rangers at least a two day list of reserved sights for better assigning of spots for those campers who haven't reserved. Still Carpenteria is one of the better state parks and worth this annoying problem.

Assigned site had a view of a dairy farm instead of the nearby lake. Site was huge; a pull through with lots of space between other sites. The utility posts in some of the sites are not located very well. In many cases you open your door to the street side with the picnic table on the opposite side. The campsites are at the end of a mile long road from the entrance. When registering you have to supply vehicle registration, insurance, and your drivers license. This is the second county park I have encountered this requirement. Hope it is not a trend. There is no cable TV, but lots of off the air channels anyways. There were no Wi-Fi internet connection that I could find. There are a couple of great aviation museums nearby at the Chino airport.

This is a nicely landscaped park. Campground is part of a complex which includes a day use section as well as a couple of museums and outdoor displays. Our pull through site was level. Laundry room has two washers and two dryers. It needed a good cleaning; especially the machines.

Rate shown is stay four nights and pay for three discount during non prime time Winter. The site was level. There is a great view of sunset over the dunes. The electrical post cover needed replacing. The cable TV 35 channel lineup. The WIFI is free, but had to sign on through the park every time the computer was turned on. The Park is next to the beach and only blocks from downtown and the butterfly grove at adjacent state park. There are mature trees and excellent landscaping. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Rate shown is without discount. I got first night for half price with Passport America. Sites are gravel and 72 feet long so there is room for any rig. Utility posts are shared and when campground fills then it might get a little tight for slideouts. There is no cable TV; only a few off the air channels. Pay phone is over in the fairgrounds (a long walk away).

We had a grass back in site near the playground. Cable TV pictures were blurry and we were forced to rely on antenna. There is a washroom in the day use section, but no showers in the park at all. Everyone has to pay a $5 key deposit even if you aren't leaving the park. In the morning I was left looking for the assistant manager to get a refund. The lake itself is a water supply reservoir, so no swimming. We spotted white pelicans near the shoreline. If you intend to use the park keep a close watch out for the park sign. From either direction there is only a small sign.

Rate given is Passport America. Nicely laid out RV park. All activity centers located in the center of the park. The electrical post is placed in the back of many sites which requires an extension. laundry mat uses special cards instead of quarters. The library has a few computers if you wish to check your email. Otherwise Tengo offers WI-FI service for a fee. Cable TV at site. Most sites are gravel for the RV and a cement pad for chairs or table (not supplied) and room to park a car. The park is divided up between pet friendly sites and all others. Walking distance to stores and restaurants.

Rate given is when staying for a 10 day period. Daily rate $30, weekly $150, and monthly $325. Many seasonal sites. RV sites on the perimeter of a mobile home park. Most of the campsites have room for RV and a towed vehicle. Park now calls itself Borrego Holiday Homes Seniors Mobile Home and RV Park. Cable TV on request from cable company only. Park manager said they are planning on bringing in WI-FI next year. Best sites on west and north sides. Park totally surrounded by the desert. This is an older park and needs some updating. We keep coming back as the cost is reasonable and it is within walking distance of Borrego Springs.

There are three sections to the campground. The Bishop loop (primitive section) has the most pull throughs. The utility section has an older Chumash loop with sites that have uneven pavement, and the newer Rumaldo loop which has a few pull throughs, but mostly back in sites. Our site was in the Rumaldo loop, and we had a privacy hedge of oleander on both sides. Nearby are a picnic area, botanical garden and a golf course. In winter it is self registration. The signboard says a charge for animals, but on the deposit post it specifies dogs.

Our site B3 was a full hookup and located in the back nearest the highway. Cable TV sites which are water and electric (no sewer) are near the entrance in A loop. We picked up a low strength Wi-Fi signal from the info center across the highway. There is a charge for it, except for highway and weather info. There was construction down at the day use area to provide a new access path. Lots of vantage points to get those great sunset pictures.

During the winter A & B loops are closed. C loop sites can be reserved, but D loop is first come first serve. Personally I prefer D loop as some of the sites are more open. Noticed a couple of permanently fixed satellite dishes in site D13? so that may be the cable TV shown in the park info? There is no off the air TV available. Pay phone is now close to the ranger station. There are no dumpsters in the loops. You have to take your garbage to the recycle center near the registration booth. The scenery and isolation here make this park one of the best in the state park system.

Our rate based on winter small interior site. Our site still had a good view of the ocean. Cable TV, Wi-Fi, laundry all excellent. Within walking distance of the village, harbor, and the Umpqua River lighthouse.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rate quoted is a Good Sam discount for a pull thru site with no cable. Our site is number 88 which is in a row of pull thrus just to the side of the office. This row is all pavement and no grass whatsoever. There are some sites which have better landscaping, but for an overnight stay ours is okay. TV reception okay for a few local channels and WI-FI has one of the strongest signals ever received by my WI-FI dish. There must be 5 or 6 newspaper boxes in front of the office and I noticed a bottled drink dispenser inside. I would have rated this park an 8 if in one of campsites that had grass and offered cable TV.

Rate given is with Passport America discount. Our site was #14 and fairly level; better than some others we have had here in the past. Several power bumps caused us some concern. We switched the fridge over to propane just in case. The laundry did a good job on our clothes, but someone could have cleaned up the floor and the dryer vents. There are lots of trees in the park. The WIFI okay for email, but don't try to download anything or you might get cut off. The park has cheaper propane than the gas stations.

Location close to Old Town Florence. Shared hookups. My electric was 20 amps, but adjacent site sharing electric box had 30 amps. Manager said it was okay to use the 30 amps if no one occupied that site. WI-FI must be new as manager said it was a secure site and a code was needed to use it. I found it unsecured and there were three park WI-FI sites. I kept getting bumped off and I never did find out why. Sites are gravel with grass between sites. Some sites have a few trees for privacy.
09/2008
rating [ 7/10 ]
Rate given is Good Sam rate for 30 amp back-in site. The vast majority of sites are occupied by long term residents. The office building has a gift shop and a restaurant (limited hrs) as well as a laundromat and weight room. There is also a children's playground.
09/2008
rating [ 7/10 ]
Rate given is with Good Sam discount. The older sites are 30 amps with shade trees. The new sites have 50 amps, but the trees aren't big enough yet to give any shade. There is a convenience store within walking distance. Other than that, most everything else is in town several miles away. The park Wi-Fi costs extra, but there were a couple of other wifi open sites available.

Rate given is with Good Sam discount for a back-in 30 amp site. Pull throughs and 50 amp sites higher. Website pictures looked better compared to being there as campground had an auto junkyard on one side. Cable TV did not work. WiFi available for $2 a day. Campsite has a gravel pad for the RV with grass between the sites. About half the sites appeared to be long term residents.

The campground is located in a park along the Sheep River just south of downtown Okotoks. The campground lost 18 campsites in a Spring flood, but the Lions Club hope to have them all fixed up for next year. There are walkways along both sides of Sheep River with a pedestrian bridge connection. Very pleasant staff. Note there are gate barriers which are closed at 11:00 p.m. until 7:30 a.m.

Upon arrival the office couldn't find my reservation. My phone call record was found finally and I was able to get a campsite. Our backin site was on grass and not too level. A few shrubs on either side of our site did make it feel more private. There is some noise from freight trains nearby. Cable TV had a few blurry channels. WIFI works well(using it now for this review) All sites here are 30 or 50 amp and as it's a hot night the air conditioner comes in handy. I would come here again.

Had a drive thru site with mature shade trees. Cable TV and WIFI worked okay. Quite windy during our visit, but trees help shelter us a bit. Satellite TV near impossible at most sites due to trees. Nearby lake only allows electric motors. The beach is actually a grassy shoreline with a boat dock.
06/2008
rating [ 8/10 ]
Our site was on the waterfront. Nice view of the lake and the town. Site mostly sand and some grass. Power 30 amp only along the lake. The wind off the lake was so strong it rocked our RV. More sheltered sites are in the C section up on the hill. WI-FI connection weak as site some distance from office. Store on site, but closed. Cell phone coverage good. Still best park in town.

Most sites well shaded by large weeping willows. Park has some paddle boats and a canoe. No fire pits at campsites, but there are a couple near the lake shore. Electrical connection only a few inches off the ground. Nice to see freshly painted picnic tables for a change. Cable TV worked fine, but had some difficulty with WI-FI until I reconfigured my computer to receive signal.

We got a site in the Santa Rosa campground which is all full hookups. Beautiful views of the beach. Each site is pavement marked with lines to separate you from your neighbour. Site 105 is next to the campground host and has more privacy than anywhere else. No laundry in the park, but there is a good one downtown.

Nicely landscaped with long pull throughs. Good cable TV and strong Internet connection. Wife was not impressed with small laundry which had only two washers and two dryers. Rate quoted is Good Sam.

Most sites gravel with a few paved pull thrus. Front of park landscaped with wooden statues and driftwood. WIFI and Cable TV worked okay. City beach nearby.
02/2008
rating [ 7/10 ]
Nicely landscaped park with spacious sites. It was ironic that we were assigned a site that was covered in tree pruning debris, even though the park was at best 10% full. Park could use some more maintenance, as some tables need refinishing and tv cable box covers missing. WIFI signal strong although park office warned that we might not get any signal at all. Even in winter a shuttle bus stops at the park and takes you down to the beach. If you feel like walking its only about 4-5 blocks.

Nice location on the Columbia River. Gravel sites that were not level. Winter storms had taken down many trees which were still on the ground in the play area. Most of the play field grass gone and levelled out by a bulldozer leaving mostly sand.
02/2008
rating [ 8/10 ]
Park has many mature eucalyptus, cypress, and pine trees. Our site 20 had a big eucalyptus that kept dropping seed cones on our rig. Easy walk to Windy Cove, Natural History Museum, and Heron Rookery. Campsites needed the accumulated bark, seeds, and sand cleaned off. My experience with California state parks is that this is one job not done enough. There were no butterflies in the grove. Most of them are down in Pismo Beach.
02/2008
rating [ 7/10 ]
Our site was in front nearest the highway. It definitely was noisier than sites in the back. Friendly host who offered the cheapest propane in the area, if not the entire Oregon coast. Most sites seemed to be occupied by seasonals. County park and a small lake within walking distance.
02/2008
rating [ 8/10 ]
Considering how close to the freeway this park is, it still is fairly quiet. As an overnighter we were assigned a pull thru site. The seasonals seem to be parked in back-ins. What a great view from the park. To the north Mount Shasta, and to the east Mount Lassen. Book exchange in the office. Friendly hosts who love cats and dogs.
02/2008

Park was being renovated during our stay. Good basic campground with backin sites. Park road a little tight for the big rigs. Located next to an airport, but very little traffic. The beach is about 1/4 mile away. Pismo State Beach Oceano Campground, where there is a butterfly grove, is even closer..
02/2008
rating [ 6/10 ]
Large park with at least 5 campground areas with hookups. Also many other areas where you can dry camp. We stayed in the Quail section which had all backins except for one site that was pull thru and accommodated a 40 foot Class A. Our site was not very level nor were most other sites nearby. There is a water slide park close by, but it was closed for the winter.
02/2008

Good Sam rate quoted. We were given a spot away from the freeway and heard no traffic noise. Cable TV worked well enough to see the Super Bowl. Steep incline when entering the park.

Close to highway so some noise for adjacent campsites. Laundry has one washer and one dryer. Older RV park, but manager installing new electrical boxes (still 30 amp). Like an earlier reviewer we tried to get into Catalina State Park, but it was full. We heard later that a heavy rain had made a mess of parts of the state park, so it was just as well we stayed at Wishing Well. I would stay only for overnight, but there were long term residents there.

Sites are concrete pads. Permanent park models surround the rv sites. The park road seems a little tight for big rigs.

Self registration during the winter. Construction at the entrance to rv park. Looks like a couple of sites already gone. Not sure what will happen to park. Laundry open 7am-7pm. McDonalds next to park. Good view of Columbia River and bridge to Washington state.

Had some difficulty registering at the Air Museum. Found out from the campground host that the procedure is to phone her to reserve a spot. We were lucky to get one as we had not reserved. This RV park is generally for those visiting the museum or volunteers. Stay is limited to 4 days. The 50 amp connections require a 50 to 30 amp pigtail for those rigs with a 30 amp cord. Sites were pavement with lines for boundaries. For self contained rigs only as there are no restrooms.
02/2008
rating [ 4/10 ]
Water and Sewer not available during our stay. Bathrooms closed as well. Full hookup not available until around beginning of April. Self registration in effect. Paid and dropped money in deposit slot, but someone still came around during the night and left another envelope for me to fill in. This also happened a couple of summers ago. Don't know why whoever does this doesn't check the deposit slot first. Roads around rv park falling apart due to hard winter. Guess I was lucky; park was even open as nothing else was available except Walmart parking lot.

Rate reflects monthly rate of $300 plus electricity. Park has 2 laundries which are very clean. Office staff are friendly and helpful. Clubhouse has an outside phone which can be used to call toll free or local numbers (no charge). We have been coming here past three years and are generally happy with this park. One "fly in the ointment" is the local garbage pickup being done at 5 or 6am. Not a great wakeup call!

WIFI available in vicinity of gatehouse. We could only stay in our campsite for one night as the registration person did not know if anyone had reserved that site for any future nights. Next morning found out it indeed was reserved and had to move to another site. California state park system needs to change this! Sites are pull thrus in the RV section. Lot of dogs not on leashes during our stay. Train tracks between park and beach, but did not hear much noise. However, campsites close to gatehouse did get some noise from the freeway.
12/2007
rating [ 9/10 ]
We paid the Passport America rate. Campsites are all pull thru on concrete pads. Ours was nice and level. Good size laundromat. No pay phone, but private phone in clubhouse OK to use for local or calling card numbers. The free internet is a DSL connection on a clubhouse computer. There is an available WIFI connection thru Tengo that cost us $15 for a week. Very strong signal for using Skype. Great views of the surrounding mountains.
12/2007

Park is divided up into groves. Pine has sewer hookups, but for monthly stays only. Alder and Birch are for nightly and weekly stays. Cedar is for monthlies, but no sewer connections. It does have honey wagon service. Mature trees throughout the park make for a beautiful setting. WIFI is available in all the park except for Alder. A small laundromat up near the office (2 washers and 4 dryers) is kept very clean. This park would rate a 10 if it had a TV service and more full hookups.
12/2007
rating [ 6/10 ]
No bathrooms or laundry. Self contained units only accepted. RV park is an extension of a large mobile home park. Friendly managers and staff. We had to move from our site as bigger unit than ours would not fit assigned site and was given ours while we were out. Phone ahead to confirm site size as only a few big rig sites available.

Having read a review for another Oceanside rv park that mentioned in passing that Catalina was "an armpit" I went there with caution. Maybe not enough. The park is small and hard to maneuver around in. Half the sites are occupied by old mobile homes. Recent rains made some of the sites soft. I got stuck in one and had to get a tow truck to pull me out. After all that I managed to get a site and got hooked up. Utilities were at shared posts. I had to go over a fence to plug in for electricity. There are no restrooms or showers. The laundromat was clean. Most of the neighbors were friendly enough, although the wife heard a lot of screaming from an adjacent condo complex. Only good reason for staying was due to weather and the price. Other RV parks in Oceanside were over $40. Our rate was for Passport America. I would never have paid full rate for this park. If you have a small rig and don't mind the trailer villa atmosphere then give it a try. Just watch out for the wet spots.
12/2007
rating [ 5/10 ]
This park is more suitable for snow birds or long term stays. Cable TV has to be applied for thru the cable company, so only worth it for monthly stays. Laundry has only 2 washers and 2 dryers. Gets crowded in there! No clubhouse or rec room, but has horseshoes and a group campfire ring. Friendly manager who was very helpful, but if you fill your propane tank there keep an eye on the gauge. My tank got overfilled by four gallons! Propane price was $2.48 a gallon which was over a dollar cheaper than I paid on the California coast. Open desert behind each site made it easy to hike over to village stores or up in the hills to the south. Nightly rate is weekly rate of $125 divided by 7. The actual daily rate is $30 and monthly $300. Cash or check only.
12/2007
rating [ 6/10 ]
Lot of long term residences. Cash or check only. Cable TV sites limited. WIFI worked well. Only 2 pull thru sites. Sites are fairly narrow. Trailer Life directory says no side by side hookups. There are plenty of them which made it awkward for my sewer connection. RV park is conveniently located within walking distance of a couple of shopping centers.
11/2007
rating [ 7/10 ]
Half of the sites filled with seasonal residents. Quality Inn next door had some RVs and some of its "residents" were pretty loud and encouraging their dog to bark. WIFI did not work and attendant did not know why. Lots of grass between sites, but it needed to be mowed.

When we arrived in the afternoon no one was in the office for registration. The office sign said someone would come around, or you could pay at the house in front of the campground, or pay at the fairgrounds office. Big warning about not paying, so I looked around to see who to pay. Finally someone showed up at the office the following morning when we were ready to depart. The old water and electric sites are in dire need of repair. The cover on our electric box fell off. The newer sites have sewer and have more trees, and would rate higher.
11/2007
rating [ 8/10 ]
Large sites with concrete pads. Pads not very level. Lots of shade trees in the full hookup section. Several trails along lake and campground. Boat ramp at Marina was closed due to construction. Nature center has a nice collection of stuffed birds, animals and a Chumash Indian display. There is even a naturalist at the center.

Our site was A21 which had cable TV and a beautiful view of the south end of Harris Beach. This is a great park and I would have given it at 10 if our site had a sewer outlet.

Sites have concrete pads with pull thrus in the middle and back ins around the perimeter. Registration was at the Gold Beach Inn about 100 yards up the highway. Good WIFI signal, but Cable TV was poor on a lot of channels. There is a private trail to the beach.

Beautiful beach and a very stormy place when we stayed there. A lot of the tent sites are closed for the winter. Hookup sites in D loop are not reservable from what I was told, but in C loop they are.
11/2007
rating [ 7/10 ]
Cable TV and WIFI reception excellent. On line reservation rates are $3 cheaper than just coming off the road and getting a site. Considering that most other Oregon coast campgrounds have much lower rates in the winter, I think this KOA is overpriced. The office manager told me they still fill up weekends this time of year so I guess they can charge it. Weekdays must be different as there were only four occupied sites when we were there. The office open only limited hours in the winter. Good view of Alsea Bay and the bridge.

rating [ 9/10 ]
Rate was for small interior site. Shoreline view sites were $5 more a night. We had a great view anyways as there were only about 15 RVs in the entire park. Good sized washers and dryers in the two laundrys. Strong WIFI signal that occasionally slowed down at night as more computers shared the WIFI. Other than lack of a lounge or game room this place is just about perfect.
11/2007
rating [ 8/10 ]
Great park. Lots of trails, two beaches, two lighthouses, gun emplacements, and a great museum on Lewis & Clark. There is a small store and laundramat just before entering the main entrance. Some of the side roads in the parks don't allow RVs as no turnarounds. Adjacent Coast Guard station fairly active with a couple of helicopters flying in the area.
11/2007

I stayed in the older section opting for some privacy as these sites have shrub and tree borders. Unable to get WIFI connection at the campsite and had to use the library to get it. Libray has six tables where you can set up your laptop. Laundry has six washers and maybe four dryers. It can get busy. Cable TV selection only 11 channels and reception poor. Local TV off an antenna has about six channels. An RV can now turn left off 152 St northbound, but it is a tight fit for the big rigs.
11/2007
rating [ 7/10 ]
Rate for 24 foot RV and one pet. Park charges $3 more for longer RVs and $2 for each pet. Not sure if phone connections at site work anymore as they were covered with cobwebs and dirt. WIFI works better near the office as signal fairly weak from campsite. Our large site surrounded by fairly tall fir trees.
11/2007

Limited Cable TV selection, around 6 channels. Laundry room was dirty. Manager was friendly and informative. It was cold (29 F.) in the morning, but pool was kept open. Old West theme for the club house and some other buildings at the park.

rating [ 8/10 ]
We were situated in the full hookup sites which have more privacy. The water and electric sites are near the beach separated only by the dunes. The beach goes on for over 15 miles and you can even drive on parts of it. Definitely a park to come back again.

Some sites are concrete pads while others are gravel. Our pad was level. Lots of grass around the campground with what looked like a playing field in the middle. It was raining pretty hard during our stay and grass around our pad got soggy, so better drainage needed. Good Cable TV and WIFI. Manager was friendly and informative. She let us help ourselves to her books as her library was overflowing.

Campground surrounded by mature trees. Our site was not level. No off air TV reception at all. WIFI worked okay, but as the internet service provider is connected to satellite, video and audio streaming is discouraged.

We camped here on the last day of the season for transients. Owner offered to open up the washrooms for us, but we didn't need them. Cable TV had many channels, but a lot of flickering on the TV made it annoying to watch. This is an older park, but kept clean. Close to freeway, but only heard the occasional train in the distance. Site was level. Electricity 15 amp. Hard to attach water filter as tap below ground level. For a night stay still okay.

Park is located 9km west of Kelowna via highway 97 and north on Westside Road. Sani-station and drinking water available across the road from the campground. Sites along the creek in the old section very private and nicely landscaped. Steep trail leads to falls on the creek and spectacular views of Okanagan Lake to the east.

Older park which needs an upgrade. Electrical plugs were 15 amp and voltage suspect as my converter hummed more than usual. Access to marina and small beach by crossing a railway track, although only heard one train while there. Access road fairly steep so no good for big rigs.

There are two separate campgrounds - North and South. The North Campground has more private sites with great views of Okanagan Lake. The South campground is more suited to families as it has a playground. The nearest sani-station is 11km south in Summerland.

Wide open views of surrounding mountains. Most sites pull thrus, but sewer outlet in front of electric and water connections. Strong WIFI signal (using it now for review). One can wash their RV at campsite for a $5 fee. Staff friendly and informative.

Cable TV ($2 extra) available at some sites, but did not work at our site. WIFI usable (using it for this review), but sometimes cuts out. There is a restaurant/saloon on site open Wednesday to Sunday.

Site had 15 amp power on a shared post with neighbour. Fuel discount of 3 cents per litre at Campground Services gas station for RV registered guests.

Our full hookup site was a little tight with bigger rigs on either side of us. WIFI worked only part of the time as too many computers on at one time. Cable TV reception was spotty first night and lost the second forcing me to share neighbours cable source. RV park has 3 cent per litre discount at their gas pumps for registered guests. Laundramat has old machines not all working. Friendly knowledgable office staff. Overall good value, but I would have spent a few bucks more for better TV and WIFI. Rate shown for 15 amp power.

Situated near the south end of Charlie Lake. Most sites occupied by oilfield service workers. Fairly noisy at times due to highway and ATV/dirt bikes in vicinity. Site assigned us was next to construction materials and there was broken glass nearby. WIFI was very slow. Not very good value for my money. I would not consider going back.

Rate paid for a power site. Dump available. Campground claims 24 hour security, but one night some locals were running dirt bikes around the campground at 3 am. Campground withing walking distance of the downtown area.

Campground staff said they had a full hookup site, but it was only water and electric with a dump. Power tripped off a couple of times. RV wash next to campground, but it was out of service when I could have used after driving through the mud of the Dempster highway. Lodge has a restaurant and store on site as well.

Campground is half filled with permanent or seasonal residents. Power connection was not grounded. The Dawson Rotary trail is nearby. Our site was close to the road and some big rigs driving by were too close for comfort.

Eagle Plains is located halfway between Dawson City and Inuvik, NWT on the Dempster highway. We paid for a basic site. Power sites are $15. The basic sites have tables and some BBQ grills. The power sites (around 5 sites) are in an open space with no other amenities. The washrooms, showers, and laundry are attached to the hotel. Our basic site had a great view of the surrounding country which is not a plain, but an elevated plateau ridge surrounded by hills and valleys.

Very clean laundramat. We have been using this park for years on our visits to Prince George. It is an older park with some need for minor repairs such as electrical posts. However the shade trees at the back in sites come in handy on a hot day like this recent trip when it hit 33C.(91F.)

No showers available. Sani dump in park. Situated in a pine forest above Nicola Lake. Some tree removal due to recent bug kill. Registration office limited hours. Some supplies available in office. Nice beach nearby at the day use section of park.

No showers available. Sani dump fee $2 extra. Most sites shaded by Douglas firs. Only a few sites have a lake view. There is a trail(with a tunnel under the highway) to the day use area on the lake.

Due to access over a bridge this campground not recommended for big rigs. Our site had a full hookup and concrete pad, but most of the other full hookup sites (around 5 or 6) were dirt. Very scenic with tall redwoods throughout the park. Recent rains the week before made some park roads muddy. Friendly and informative staff. Read the park map carefully to access the sani dump.

Nice sized pull through level sites with some shrubs for privacy. WIFI did not work and computer in recreation room adjacent to office only available when office open during the day. Close to highway 101, but still fairly quiet. Many seasonal campers in park. Propane available during the day when office open. I would stay here again for an overnight stay.

One of the most scenic campground locations in Oregon. Self registration in effect during the winter months. Our full hookup site was not level. The best sites were at the front. They had cable TV, but no sewer connection. Good trails to the beaches. The WIFI connection was at the visitor center across the highway from the park. Wood available from the campground hosts. There are yurt rentals available as well.

Beautiful setting especially the ocean view sites. Nice sized level campsites. Restrooms and laundry were clean and modern. WIFI connection took some time to connect. Our rate was for a waterfront site during the winter season.

Nice location. Pull through site was not level. Cable TV was terrible. Had to use antenna and get off air channels for better reception. WIFI was a fee for service connection and it did not work. Hard to find a good park in Seattle area that is not expensive.

Our site 15 had a great view of the beach and ocean. Access to the beach is by crossing highway 101 and there is a lot of traffic so be careful. No public phone. Nearest one is at a store 1/4 mile north.

This park is hard to find unless you make a hard right from the southbound exit off the freeway onto the service road. Sites fairly close together. Lot of freeway noise. Public phone has been taken out of laundry room. Nearest one half mile away at bowling alley. WIFI did not work and modem in library available only when office was open.

This campground has definitely deteriorated over the past couple of years. The electric breaker box at our site was almost on the ground. Park host had a noisy dog barking all the time. The farm field next to the park had been sprayed recently and made my wife sick. There was a strange red substance in the Santa Ynes River which is just back of the campground. I would not bother coming back to this campground.

Fairly old park in the process of being upgraded with a new meeting hall. Newest section close to the highway. Older sections in the back had trees and were quiet. The WIFI connection is fee for service and worked okay. Park has an on-site store and nearby are a gas station, bakery, and souvenir shops. Our nightly rate is Passport America rate in the winter season. The park is good value for the money and I would stay again for overnight. 39 RV sites and 60 tent sites.

Great location along the Columbia River. Large day use area has picnic shelters, tennis, and boat dock facilities. Some construction at time of amphitheater and cabins. Our spacious pull through site was not level. Self registration in effect and Washington State does not accept credit cards like Oregon. They need to install change machines or have someone on duty to register campers. 67 RV sites and 27 tent sites.

Most expensive rv park in Kingman, but it also has the most amenities and it looked to be the cleanest as well. Well off the freeway so it was quiet. Good graveled level sites. WIFI connection was excellent. Park in the middle of a residential area. Some permanent residents in one part of the park away from the overnighters. Nightly rate is with the KOA discount.

We had a water/electric site, but the sani dump worked out okay. Beautiful setting on the river. The cabana sites are next to the water, but only have 15 amp electricity. Only a few sewer hookups and if you want one better reserve it. Handy store on site, but adjacent restaurant appeared closed during our stay. Interpretive center was interesting and good view of the area short distance up a medium difficulty trail.

First time registrants take 15-20 minutes at least for office staff to enter information on computer. Security escorted us to the site. Our site was gravel and easy to back in (for our 24 foot Class C), but some sites were fairly narrow. RV campsites surrounded by resort workers campsites. Surrounding trees helped shelter us a bit from the wind unlike the national park campground across the highway which is wide open. Our sewer outlet was hard to access as it was located on another site behind us with a fence in between sites. The resort has several restaurants, souvenir shop, and the Borax museum. With it being the only full hookup campground in Furnace Creek. I would stay there again.

We reserved a site and were given one that was extremely unlevel and a sewer drain on the wrong side of the RV which proved very awkward. The park looked to be in the midst of upgrading some of their sites. Good thing too as on our street a lot of sites were real shabby looking. The newest sites across from some mobile homes have the best view of the lake. Office has a computer that can be used to check email.

Very attractive sites in some sections. There was lots of space between sites. All the sewer connection were in Pine Grove and are for campers staying one month or longer. Our first site was not level, but the second one was. The resort is located in Steckel County Park, 4 miles north of Santa Paula. There are fruit orchards and vineyards in the area. WIFI can be received throughout the park, but difficult at times to connect or stay connected. Best place to connect was at the laundry. About 25 peacocks roam around the park and can be quite noisy at times. Overall I would stay here again just for the scenery.

Good location in Ajo with most town facilities within walking distance. Some of the sites in the back are not level, but ours in front was okay. The park has graveled many of the sites which keeps the dust down. A few sites have small shade trees. Shrubs are used as dividers between many sites. Clean laundry rooms. Cable TV had a program guide channel which helps. WIFI connected to a satellite internet provider which usually worked okay except in the evening when too many campers on the web would slow down the connection. Most nights there were cards or pool in the clubhouse. We were there for a month and expect to go back again.

Office staff took a long time to register us as he had to figure out our rate. Stayed two days and second day was actually $10. Pets, including cats, are charged $1 a day extra. The sani dump had a slow drain causing lineups. Construction near some sites with a lot of dust at times. Back In site was not level. Quiet at night with good views of reservoir and hills. White pelicans feeding on lake at the time.

Back-in site not level. Hookups all worked. Sites are more sand than advertised grass. Overnighters in front get all the traffic noise from the highway. Sites in back near the irrigation canal are fairly quiet. WIFI is a fee service and usually works. After a years absence the internet provider still had my old user name, but wouldn't let me connect due to problems with billing address.

Only camper in the park for the night. First site electric hookup did not work. Next site okay, but got to watch the voltage in Mexico. This site measured 127 volts from a 15 amp plug. Kept my fridge on propane for the entire trip in Baja California. Water highly mineralized and not good for showers.

Not all hookups worked. Our back in site not level and fairly narrow. Electric 15 amp and 105 volts; dangerously low. Back in sites fairly small but level. Wouldn't take anything over 35 feet there. Electric 15 amp; did not measure voltage. Nice location. Good water. Filled up my freshwater tank for the first time in awhile. Good restaurant on site, but a long wait to be served.

On a sand access road. Our site nicely landscaped with tropical plants of all kinds. Back in site fairly level. Electric 30 amp measured 123 volts. Unconventional sewer hookup that leaked and I was not a happy camper cleaning up the mess. Gates to park closed at 5pm! There was a walk thru gate that could be used.

Park has beautiful landscaping with palm trees and palapas. Electric 30 amp measured at 126 volts. Some sites fairly narrow, but have concrete pads for tables. Water tap leaked. Attendant fixed with washers. Unconventional sewer connection and very time consuming setting up drain pipe. Road next to park very busy with traffic passing by all thru the night. Bring earplugs!

This park proved to be a disappointment. Passport America rate was not honored. Few hookups available, but only 15 amp and voltage was an incredible 135 volts. Electric power was thru a light switch. Power off during the night and only came back on at 7am. Back in site fairly level. WI-FI advertised was off and typically no one knew when it would be back on. Good restaurant on site.
